Washington State is part of Region 3 for the Selective Service and had a number of local volunteer board members.  Virtually all young men living in the United States are required by federal law to register with Selective Service when they turn 18. What some don’t realize is that failing to register by the time they reach age 26 can result in significant lost opportunities for their future, such as:

•          Federal student loans and grants

•          Federal jobs, and an increasing number of state and local government jobs

•          Job training programs

Registration takes less than a minute and can be done at: www.sss.gov
